Willa Mae Wolfe Community Service Scholarship

For the past 25 years, the Franklin Township Civic League (FTCL) has awarded a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating Franklin Township resident in recognition of outstanding community service. Through this scholarship, the Civic League continues its tradition of giving back to Franklin Township by recognizing a high school senior who has devoted time and energy to making a great township even better.


The Franklin Township Civic League is proud to announce that the applications for the 2023 Willa Mae Wolfe Community Service Scholarship are now available. The scholarship will be available to any Franklin Township resident who is in his or her senior year of high school and can be used at any accredited institution for education beyond high school, including vocational schools.  The review criteria is based primarily on the individual’s volunteer contributions to the community, such as school, church, neighborhood and extracurricular activities, with an emphasis on community work directly benefiting Franklin Township. Students must have a “C” average to be eligible.

Applications for the Willa Mae Wolfe Community Service Scholarship are available at the guidance offices of Roncalli High School, Franklin Central High School, Lutheran High School and on the Civic League’s Facebook page   All applications must be postmarked or delivered to the Civic League/Informer office by May 31, 2023.
